The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that the 2023 EEO-1 data collection will open on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The deadline to submit the required data is Tuesday, June 4, 2024. The Filer Support help desk for the EEO-1 report will also be opening on April 30, 2024, to assist with filer questions surrounding the 2023 data collection.
The EEO-1 filing requirements and timeline apply to the following organizations operating within the US:
The reporting must include all full-time and part-time employees on an employers’ payroll during a pay period between October 1 and December 31, 2023. Data must be provided on sex, ethnicity, race, and EEO-1 category. For more information on filing requirements, EEOC has published fact sheets, FAQs, and an Instruction Booklet.
No Collection of Compensation Data During 2024
There is no expectation that EEOC will collect compensation data during 2024. Compensation data was collected for 2017 and 2018. Employers were required to provide pay data and hours worked for each employee within an organization subject to EEO-1 reporting.
DCI will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as they occur.
