On October 7, 2024, Shanae Moody was selected as the new Southeast Regional Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Moody, who has over 15 years of experience in federal contracting and compliance, most recently served as a Special Assistant in the National Office, working closely with OFCCP and Department of Labor (DOL) leadership on key agency priorities. Moody began her career with OFCCP in 2008 as a Compliance Investigator in the Philadelphia District Office. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, including Regional Liaison in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office in 2016, Assistant District Director for the Arlington, VA District Office in 2018, and District Director for both the Arlington and Richmond Area Offices.

According to OFCCP’s press release, Moody has shown a commitment to innovation by enhancing the agency's enforcement programs and improving training for staff. The press release also highlights deep knowledge of past and current policies that have made her a strong leader in navigating the complexities of federal compliance, resolving systemic discrimination cases, and investigating complaints. Interestingly, the agency’s press release, which was written by OFCCP Acting Director Michelle Hodge, specifically mentions Moody’s involvement in construction cases, an area of particular focus for OFCCP in recent years.

The DCI blog will continue to provide updates on any developments in the compliance space.
