On January 7, 2008, the EEOC announced that Supreme Corporation and Supreme Northwest LLC had agreed to settle a national origin lawsuit for $427,000. (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Supreme Corporation and Supreme Northwest LLC, CV 07-1047 MO). EEOC’s lawsuit against the Indiana-based automotive manufacturer alleged the company’s plant manager harassed and subjected seven employees to disparate treatment (demotion, discriminatory termination, and/or involuntary resignation) because of their national origin, Hispanic/Mexican.
