President Donald Trump has appointed Dr. Daniel M. Gade to be the next EEOC commissioner. A native of Minot, ND, Gade will be the only EEOC commissioner who is not an attorney. He is an expert in both veteran’s and disability issues, a decorated military veteran (reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel), a former West Point graduate and professor, and a previous member of the George W. Bush administration. Gade earned his Ph.D. in Public Administration/Public Policy from the University of Georgia. If approved by the Senate, Gade will join recently appointed chair Janet Dhillon to give the Commission a 3-2 edge in Republican-appointed commissioners.
