David Cohen, President of DCI Consulting Group Inc., has announced that Eric Dunleavy, Ph.D., has joined the firm as Senior Human Resources Consultant in its Washington, D.C. office. In this capacity, Dr. Dunleavy will work closely with DCI’s corporate clients in all phases of its EEO/AA regulatory compliance consulting practices, particularly in the areas of pay equity analysis, employee selection and test validation, and OFCCP audit and litigation support.
Dr. Dunleavy will also serve on staff with The Center for Corporate Equality, a national nonprofit employer association based in Washington, D.C. whose mission is to promote proactive affirmative action, equal employment regulatory compliance, and other human resource management strategies to create diverse organizations free from workplace bias.
Dr. Dunleavy comes to DCI with extensive experience in industrial and organizational psychology related to employment discrimination analysis. In his most recent experience, Dr. Dunleavy worked as a Senior Research Scientist with the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in their Workforce Research and Analysis Program. His primary work with AIR involved expert witness analysis for the Equity Analysis litigation group, which involved examining employment actions for potential employment discrimination, and constructing and analyzing large organizational databases for the Department of Defense.
Dr. Dunleavy is currently the legal chair of the Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington, D.C., and on the editorial board of The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist as co-author of the “On the Legal Front” column.
Dr. Dunleavy holds a B.A., Cum Laude, in Psychology from Saint Anselm College, a M.A. in Psychology from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. from the University of Houston in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with a concentration in Quantitative Data Analysis. He has published numerous articles in professional journals, and has authored many conference papers and presentations related to industrial and organizational psychology.
