Sen. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) has introduced the Fair Pay Act of 2008 (S. 2945) requiring that time limits for filing pay discrimination claims begin to run when the employee “knew or should have known” of the discrimination. The bill came a week after the Senate fell four votes short of the 60 votes needed for a Senate floor debate and action on H.R. 2831, the bill that would have overturned the U.S. Supreme Court’s Ledbetter ruling.
