A bill entitled “Protect Citizens and Residents from Unlawful Raids and Detention Act (S. 3594) was introduced September 25 by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ). The purpose of the bill is to provide a set of protections against unlawful detentions and provide basic guidelines for the conduct of immigration agents during workplace raids.
