U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES APOLOGIZES FOR SLAVERY

The U.S. House of Representatives apologized to African Americans for the “fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality and inhumanity of slavery and Jim Crow” segregation. Congress unsuccessfully considered a similar apology in the past. Several states have already issued apologies for slavery.
