Federal contractors need to be aware of a significant change to the VETS100-100A electronic file upload function this year. Specifically, when a text file is uploaded to the online system it will not produce the uploaded reports for reviewing or editing by the federal contractor. Instead, the online system will produce the following message:

“Thank you for submitting your report. Your report has been received successfully. You will receive a confirmation email soon. Please save and/or print a copy of this email for your records. The PDF report feature is only available for reports submitted individually. Firms submitting by batch upload may request copies of their forms by contacting the VETS help desk.”

However, feedback from federal contractors that have contacted the VETS help desk via email/phone have been told the only way they can get a copy of their own reports is to file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. This is a change in process from past years in which federal contractors have easily maintained a copy of the final reports to comply with record-keeping obligations, as well as to produce to the OFCCP during routine compliance evaluations.
