The Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) publishes interesting research that often provides useful data to employers. If you haven’t already caught these recent reports, here are a few that you might find interesting.
1. Wages and Bonuses in Investment Banking: August 2007 edition of Issues in Labor Statistics “Wages and Bonuses in Investment Banking”
2. BLS Monthly Labor Review: June 2007 edition, “Gender Differences in Occupational Distributions Among Workers.” Note the results of a BLS report issued in April 1997 entitled “Gender Differences in Occupational Employment.”
3. Compensation and Working Conditions Online: John E. Buckley, an economist with the Division of Compensation Data Analysis and Planning, Office of Compensation Working Conditions at BLS, posted an article entitled “Changes in Occupational Ranking and Hourly Earnings, 1997-2005” on August 29, 2007.
