DOL Budget Released - EEOC and OFCCP Merger is Officially Dead

According to the proposed FY 2019 U.S. government budget, the proposed merger between OFCCP and EEOC is officially dead. The FY 2019 Budget proposes the following:

• Improving organization efficiency and effectiveness by modernizing the agency’s operational model
• Aligning staff workload with where financial contractors are located
• Establishing Skilled Regional Centers
• Focusing on the financial industry

The proposed budget listed for OFCCP is $91,100,000, with an estimated 450 full-time employees. This is a 12.5% budget reduction for OFCCP from the prior fiscal year.
