The DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy published an announcement in the Federal Register on April 9 that extends the period for submission of nominations for the Secretary of Labor’s New Freedom Initiative Award.
The notice states that nomination packages must be submitted to the DOL by May 31, 2007. Any application received after 4:45pm on May 31, 2007 will not be considered unless it meets certain stringent requirements set forth in the Federal Register notice. A prior notice from the Office of Disability Employment Policy stated that nomination packages were to be submitted by April 30, 2007.
