EEOC’S ‘FREEDOM TO COMPETE’ AWARD CEREMONY SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 26, 2007

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that it will present the third annual “Freedom to Compete” Award recognizing five employers and organizations for initiatives that promote fair and open competition in the workplace. The awards will be presented during a ceremony on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at EEOC’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

According to an EEOC announcement, this year’s award recipients will be a hospital center, a non-profit health care provider, a major bureau of a Cabinet-level agency, a city government, and a disability advocacy organization.
