The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has officially opened the 2024 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection portal as of today, May 20, 2025. All private-sector employers with 100 or more employees are now able to file their annual workforce demographic reports through EEOC’s dedicated portal.
As DCI previously reported, the filing deadline is June 24, 2025, and organizations are encouraged to submit their reports as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical issues or compliance risks.
In addition to the instruction booklet, EEOC has posted several new resources including FAQs, fact sheets, file specifications, and more. DCI is currently reviewing these materials and will provide a summary and key takeaways soon. Of note, materials continue to reference the now rescinded Executive Order 11246 and related regulations, which appears to be an oversight.
One notable and unexpected aspect of the portal's launch is a message from Acting Chair Andrea Lucas featured on the homepage. The statement references recent executive orders from the Trump administration related to discrimination, diversity, and disparate impact.
