*The EEOC Component 2 collection portal officially closed on February 15th, 2020. The EEOC has stated it doesn't intend to collect Component 2 data in the future because the burden imposed on employers to comply. The links referencing the portal have been removed.
As previously reported, the EEO-1 Component 2 pay data collection tool website is active. As of yesterday, technical upload file specifications have been posted to the website at https://eeoccomp2.norc.org/info.html. Additionally, an instruction booklet and fact sheet have been provided.
Of interest is that the EEO-1 portal is now requiring companies to answer the following new question for each establishment included in the filing:
IS THIS ESTABLISHMENT: (1) NOT EXEMPT AS PROVIDED FOR BY 41 CFR 60-1.5; (2) A PRIME CONTRACTOR OR FIRST-TIER SUBCONTRACTOR; AND (3) HAVE A CONTRACT, SUBCONTRACT, OR PURCHASE ORDER AMOUNTING TO $50,000 OR MORE; OR SERVE AS A DEPOSITORY OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS IN ANY AMOUNT; OR IS A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION WHICH IS AN ISSUING AND PAYING AGENTS FOR U.S. SAVINGS BONDS AND OR SAVINGS NOTES? 1=YES; 2=NO
Please note, this question is new in addition to Question C.3 (which has always been asked). Question C.3 is still included as well:
DOES THE COMPANY OR ANY OF ITS ESTABLISHMENTS (1) HAVE 100 OR MORE EMPLOYEES; (2) IS NOT EXEMPT AS PROVIDED BY 41 CFR 60-1.5; (3) ARE PRIME CONTRACTORS OR FIRST-TIER SUBCONTACTORS, AND (4) HAVE A CONTRACT, SUBCONTRACT, OR PURCHASE ORDER AMOUNTING TO $50,000 OR MORE, OR SERVE AS A DEPOSITORY OF GOVERNMENT FUNDS IN ANY AMOUNT; OR ARE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS WHICH ARE ISSUING AND PAYING AGENT FOR U.S. SAVINGS BONDS AND/OR SAVINGS NOTES? 1=YES; 2=NO
