On December 26, 2018, the Department of Labor formally announced that Craig Leen, formerly Acting Director of OFCCP, was named the Director of OFCCP. Leen took over for former Director Ondray T. Harris after he stepped down from the position in July of 2018.
In his time as Acting Director, Leen wasted no time in announcing 10 new OFCCP Directives, including new compensation Directive 2018-05, which outlines standard procedures for reviewing contractor compensation practices. Other Directives include the Religious Exemption Directive (DIR 2018-03), the new Contractor Recognition Program (DIR 2018-06), the AAP Verification Initiative (DIR 2018-07), and more.

Other initiatives in 2018 include the release of a Contractor Bill of Rights, and a Memorandum of Understanding between OFCCP and the National Industry Liaison Group (NILG).
2019 looks to be a busy year for OFCCP, as Leen leads OFCCP into becoming more transparent through these new initiatives. DCI will continue to provide additional updates and insights as Leen takes on his new role.
