EEOC PUBLISHES NOTICE TO RENEW UGESP FOR THREE-YEARS

by Patricia Schaeffer, Vice President-Regulatory Affairs

On March 25, 2008, the EEOC published a notice in the Federal Register (74 Fed.Reg. 15754) giving notice of its intent to submit the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures (UGESP) without change to the Office of Management and Budget for a three-year approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The EEOC noted that it does not intend to finalize the five additional Questions and Answers that include clarification of the definition of “applicant” that was published in the Federal Register on March 4, 2004. Written comments on this notice must be submitted to the EEOC on or before May 27, 2008.
