President Bush Renominates Commissioner Stuart Ishimaru For Second Term With EEOC

On July 5, President Bush announced that he intends to nominate Stuart Ishimaru as a Commissioner with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for a five-year term expiring July 1, 2012. Mr. Ishimaru currently serves as a Commissioner having been nominated by President Bush on October 14, 2003, and unanimously confirmed by the full U.S. Senate on October 31 to fill the reminder of a five-year term expiring in July 2007. Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Ishimaru served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice.
