EEOC Meeting Scheduled for September 21
The EEOC has published a notice in the Federal Register announcing their next commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern). The agenda will include announcement of notation votes and a discussion on the obligation of funds to conduct surveys to measure results for Strategic Plan Performance Measures and other measures of service. (UPDATE: This meeting was cancelled on September 19- no details or rescheduled date were provided.)

 

2006 EEO-1 Report Due September 30
EEOC is urging employers in a recent press release to send in their annual EEO-1 Report to meet the fast approaching September 30 deadline. This year’s EEO-1 mailing will also include information about the new 2007 EEO-1 form, instruction booklet and job classification guide in order to familiarize employers with two new provisions in next year’s survey: the addition of new racial categories, and the addition of two job groups for officials and managers. The information about the 2007 report contained in the mailing is for informational purposes only.

 

EEOC’s Draft Strategic Plan For FY 2007-2012
September 15 is the last day for public comment on the EEOC’s draft Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2007-2012. The draft plan is built around one Strategic Objective – Justice, Opportunity and Inclusive Workplaces – and one Management Objective – Organizational Excellence. The agency’s plan includes long-term and annual performance measures and establishes a foundation for further development of more detailed annual plans, budgets, and related program performance information.
