EEOC Delays EEO-1 Opening until April 2021

EEOC announced today that the data collection for the 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 filings will be delayed until April 2021. The EEO-1 website also reflects this update.

As a reminder, EEOC previously announced a delay for both the 2019 and 2020 filings due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The EEOC has not provided a set date for the opening of the collection. Likewise, a submission deadline, which is typically March 31st, has not been set. Both dates will be announced by a notice on the EEOC main website, as well as a new, dedicated website for the EEOC’s data collections (https://EEOCdata.org). A notification will be sent directly to employers.

Additionally, the general notification provided updated filing dates for the EEO-5, EEO-3 and EEO-4 data collections. More information can be found at the new EEOC data site.
