Illinois DOL Makes Equal Pay Registration Certificate Updates for 2025

The Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) is informing employers with Equal Pay Registration Certificates (EPRC) about changes that will impact upcoming filings.

Key updates include:

  • A new, standardized data template with additional required fields:
    • Whether each position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement; and
    • Whether the position is paid hourly or salaried (and if hourly, the pay rate).
  • A streamlined process for submitting Compliance Statements and other forms via a web-based submission, eliminating the need to download, complete, scan, and upload forms.

To accommodate these changes, IDOL is asking employers to delay submissions until after March 17, 2025, when the updated portal launches. After this date, only the new data template will be accepted.

Employers with EPRC recertification deadlines between January 1, 2025, and March 30, 2025, now have an extended deadline of March 31, 2025, with further extensions available upon request.
