On February 6, 2019, OFCCP announced that it will be holding two town hall meetings focused on the technology sector, both of which will be open to the public. The first town hall will be hosted in San Jose, California on February 26, 2019, and the second town hall will be in Seattle, Washington on February 28, 2019.
These town halls are part of OFCCP’s effort to ensure that federal contractors receive the resources they need in order to comply with their equal employment opportunity obligations. With these town halls, OFCCP is looking to “enhance the scope and quality of their compliance assistance materials and events.”
OFCCP emphasized that these meetings will be open to the public, but will be of particular interest to:
“…human resource managers, equal employment opportunity specialists, chief compliance officers, and other personnel in the technology industry who are directly involved with ensuring their company’s compliance with OFCCP’s requirements. Workers, jobseekers, community groups and anyone interested in OFCCP and our work are also encouraged to attend.”
Note: Only two tickets are available per organization on a first come, first served basis.
