This spring, OFCCP implemented changes to the suite of compliance assistance initiatives offered on the agency’s website. These updates began with the closing of the Contractor Assistance Portal on March 1, 2021, which was done to improve efficiency and integration of the resources provided by OFCCP.
The discontinuation of the portal has been accompanied by expanded offerings in the Contractor Compliance Institute (CCI). The CCI is a repository of trainings developed to assist contractors in their efforts to comply with OFCCP regulations.
Recently, a new course has been added to provide contractors with more information on OFCCP audits. Titled “Compliance Evaluations,” the latest training covers all four types of evaluations conducted by the agency each year.
As a reminder, OFFCP’s slate of evaluations includes compliance checks, focused reviews, off-site reviews of records, and traditional, full compliance reviews. The latter type of review can be conducted by physical establishment, as well as business function, for contractors participating in the Functional Affirmative Action Program (FAAP).
In addition to the CCI’s trainings, the agency offers contractor resources in various other formats. The resources range from online items such as compliance assistance guides, FAQ’s, and webinars open to the public; to online and in-person events such as town halls and listening sessions. While the above resources are available at the national level, OFCCP field offices host technical assistance events at the local level. As a reminder for current DCI clients, these resources are also available on our Client Resources Library.
If contractors have specific questions in mind, they can also utilize the agency’s Help Desk. The Help Desk can be reached online, via the toll-free help line at 1-800-397-6251 (TTY 1-877-889-5627).
We will continue to post updates on the compliance assistance front as the agency refines its offerings.
