National Disability Employment Awareness Month: What Can ODEP Do for You?

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month! Join DCI Senior Consultant Rosemary Cox as she sits down to discuss her recent visit to the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the exciting things they have in store for the upcoming year. 

The ODEP is the only non-regulatory federal agency that promotes policies and coordinates with employers and all levels of government to increase workplace success for people with disability. Some exciting initiatives from ODEP include:

  • Workplace Recruitment Program
    • Individuals with disabilities can apply to this database after graduation. Employers can use this database to find qualified individuals with disabilities nationwide.
  • Workplace Accommodation & Mental Health Toolkits
    • Resources to help bring individuals with disabilities into your workforce and retain them in your workforce
