EEO-1 Filing Deadline Announced

On September 1, 2023, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced the 2022 EEO-1 Component 1 data collection will open on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The deadline for employers to file their EEO-1 reports is Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

EEOC plans to publish its updated instruction booklet for filers on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. It will also publish file upload specifications on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The file upload process allows filers to upload multiple reports at once.

The 2022 EEO-1 filing has been delayed twice, once in January and once in June. EEOC indicated the delay announced in June was needed due to the mandatory renewal of the filing documentation. Interestingly, the documentation was only approved for one year instead of the standard three years.
